Sensitives, are they real??

I am looking for information on people who claim to be sensitives. I am working for a client who has a small child that is having experiences that seem to led us to the conclusion that the child may be a sensitive. I am not sure that I believe in this and I want to get my facts correct so I can help my client. I would like to hear the opinions of other investigators on this subject.

I believe that some people are senstitives...actually, I believe that it is more common that many believe, although there are certainly varying degrees of it and I think this is where many debates and confusion can enter in. Also, I really would hesitate to use the word 'psychic' in the same sentence - I believe they are very different things.I am like a sensitive at times as are some that I have come into contact with...it is not consistent nor can I do it at will. I must be open and some things will come through very clearly - so perhaps that does not make me a 'true sensitive'.? I don't know... I am an empath, though, and have always been so. I find this to be a gift when working with others and a kind of 'curse' (using the term loosely) as I have difficulty sheilding and grounding myself. I hope this helps in some way.

It's a start. My concern is who to help this child. If she is "gifted", she's 5 - how do we debunk, or prove, this and still help her rid the fear she is having. When children are involved, I want to be sure of what I am doing , so I don't make thing worse for them.

I think children are a special case, as it were and need to be handled carefully and gently. How are the parents dealing with it? If it were my child and my daughter saw apparitions from a very yound age...still does at age 31, I would want to reassure her and treat things as normally as possible while explaining what her gifts are. I would defiitely want to assure her that there was nothing wrong with her. I have been a parent for 35 years...honestly is always best no matter what. Kids are not dumb. As to debunking or proving, I think that the evidence will be clear in time...what's the rush? Just my .02. Be patient and the truth will be revealed.

I can understand people not believing in sensitive's however I know of a few that would change your mind. As a child I would see things that I knew didn't make any sense, like a "red deer" in my play room. I know now that it was most likely a new born fawn with part of the birth fluids still in the hair because I remember seeing the "little dots" on the rump and telling my mother. In high school and college I took many psychology classes thinking I would find explanations for at least some of my experiences.
As an adult I could see orbs with my naked eye.
While investigating paranormal activity I was eventually lead to a couple that had major reported activity. I had already investigated the house that they had lived in and experienced so much activity but my experiences in the house were limited. Their haunting was a very well known haunting and many groups came to see if they could experience anything in the house.
Long story short after years of working with this couple it was obvious that one of the people were extremely sensitive. I also got to meet several other very good psychics.
It is important to know that each sensitive gets information in a different way and abilities differ from one to the next. It is difficult to say this one is better than that one because they are different and the information they get can be slightly different yet still accurate.

Several years ago when I suspected one of these people were psychic I decided I would have him see if he could tell me about my deceased family members. A couple days before we were all to get together I saw a show on TV about missing people. I thought it might be more helpful to ask him if he could pick anything up to help those people then to answer silly questions about my family. I ran off about 12 of the people listed on the missing persons website. I arrived before anyone else and put the stack of papers face down on a table in the dinning room. When the sensitive arrived he came in about 12 feet and sat down in a chair and we began to talk. Within ten minutes he asked if anyone knew a Tammy Lippert. No one knew who he was talking about. Information kept coming and his wife started taking notes. Another investigator asked if there was a chance that this might be one of the people in my missing persons list. Well it didn't ring a bell but I just picked 12 people random and don't remember the names. I went over and grabbed the stack of papers and about the fourth person from the top was a Tammy Leppert.
I don't see any way he could have known this as I chose the missing cases randomly.
This is only one of many times I have been right with him when he picked up NAMES and details. Some of those details had to be checked by other means than the Internet. He is a regular person living in a small town with a boring job. When I first met him he had no clue how to look up information on the Internet.
Even during the time I have known him his abilities have changed making him quite interesting.
Another person I know lives in California and has surprised me many times. My brother in law died and this sensitive called to tell me that David had contacted him. He came up with things that I had to ask my husband about because even I had no idea. David's wife was much harder to convince and said that if I could tell her what she put in his jacket then she would know for sure. The psychic tried to focus in but came up with a number of things the wife said no to. Finally Dan told me he had seen her slip in a pin so the next time I saw her I asked about these things. While I named the list off her daughter raised her hand and said that she had put the note and the ring in his pocket and his sister in law admitted to putting the Mickey Mouse and button in a pocket. lol Slowly everything the psychic told us was in his pockets were accounted for by family and friends.
This psychic now calls regularly to give us warnings or advice as to an upcoming investigation our group will be going to. Dan isn't as good giving names and dates but he is very good at telling us of danger and attacks we might be getting. He called last Tuesday to tell our psychic that something was about to happen. Each one of our members had paranormal events take place in a time frame of 4-6 hours.
Just saw that you were asking and thought I would tell you that once you meet a good psychic you will never look at things the same.

I want to thank everyone for their advice and help. Our team has done our 1st investigation with our client and I am starting to think that we are not dealing with a child sensitive, but rather some type of attached spirit or a guardian angel. After looking deeper in to the family history for our client, I'm thinking that the Great grandparents might be looking out for the child. We are still investigating, and we are not ready to make a determination as of yet.

You have not given much detail about this situation so it is difficult to tell if this child is sensitive just by reading. Of course I also know that you were not trying to get us to decide one way or the other either. Can I ask what made you think this was grandparents? Why would a little girl be afraid of grandparents?
Ok I don't even want to get started with all my questions so I will just give you a suggestion I thought of.
Would it be possible to allow this child to have a camera that she could keep with her and take pictures when she feels or sees something? Really strong psychics (use what ever word you feel most comfortable with) generally get some really interesting pictures, and I don't mean orb shots. Psychics I know can do what they do at will, but can not always control the information given.
Sometimes they will ask for specific information that just isn't given for one reason or another. One client asked why her husband never told her that he had been shot down in Viet Nam. His answer was that he didn't see the need and that if he hadn't told her he surely wouldn't tell a stranger. Not important then and not important now was the basic message. Other than this he was a very helpful spirit to us.
We had been called in to help this family for other activity in their house and this spirit just came through. It wasn't that our psychic had tried to contact him because we didn't know about him.

Back to the pictures. Not getting anything in the pictures doesn't mean they don't have some ability but getting the type of picture I am talking about is a good indication they have the stronger abilities of a sensitive/psychic. If interested I could always send you a couple of pictures to show you what I mean.

This is why I posted here, I love the camera idea! We are a newer group and I am not afraid to admit that I don't have all the answers, but I am working on it.(LOL)

The reason I first believed that the child might be a sensitive was that she is being visited by a child spirit with broken legs asking for help. She has also stated that "other people I don't known keep coming to my room and some of them are scaring me." She also told her mother that Grandma and Grandpa told her to tell mom hello. Mom showed her some family pics, and she pointed out her great grandparents photo who both died long before her birth, and she new there names, even though mom has never talked about them before. There are other things, like 2 photo's taken of the child a couple of years ago with a mist in each and we are fairly certain that they are not smoke or such. These mists are quite similar in shape and were taken a couple weeks apart. Also, during our interview we learned that when the child was a baby, mom could not leave the child with her father, she had no problem leaving her with her parents, neighbor, or a sitter - but something in side her just would not let her leave the child with her father. This bothered her so much that she even saw a counselor to figure out why. The father was never mean or threatening in any way, she thought that they had a great family. Then the father just left, no explanation. Then, after the father left the family, the mother started to find clues to his past and he was a very bad person. Also, when question about the main spirit, she calls "Meya" she gets embarrassed and won't talk to anyone at first but mom, but when she does open up, the imagination of a 5 year old is present, and she willingly talks mostly about "Meya's" other friends who come to visit because they are nicer than her.

That's the basic rundown of what we have going on, so far. We did an investigation and the child was not around us at the time and we came up with nothing for evidence, but when we did our initial interview, with mom and child, we captured 5 EVP's and are trying to figure out how they connect to the conversation. I'm not sure if there is a spirit attached to the child or if the grandparents are there watching over her, or if there is a psychic connection of some sort. We are planning another interview next week to ask more questions, and I want to get more info on the grandparents. I think I am going to use the camera idea too.

I have another suggestion when it comes to evp because this is my area of expertise. I will wait until Dan responds because his advice will be what you really need. (I also wanted you to show pictures of the gandparents but you are ahead of me on that one).

hello everyone
well ranae asked me to offer some advice first off, a little about me, I discovered my gifts as a small child over the yrs I have worked cold case files, missing person cases, hauntings or paranormal investigations, demonic cases, connecting people with passed loved ones, providing historical events or info.
I have worked cases world wide most cases have been done remotely, I have also helped military and police officers stay safe in the field.
I have also helped many develop their own gifts. I am married with three kids with my youngest being gifted as well.
that's me in a nutshell

I have looked over everything in this post and not sure I have much to offer. children are amazing at sensing those things which we as adults often ignore or let go unnoticed. children are unbiased and are constantly curious about everything which helps to open that communication to the other side.
if you want to test this little girl have her look at historcial pictures of something she has no prior exposure to such as the alamo or the great wall or photos of historical people then ask her if she sees, hears or feels anything when looking at the pics. you may find it going slow at first but eventually you may be surprised by her responses.

this should give you a starting point the info from grandparents could be argued that she over heard past conversations about them and is applying that info.

in this case however there seems to be an isabel or another female feeding her info and sort of guiding her. not sure if isabel is a creation or someone passed.

Just so I have my facts right, and I really don't want to sound rude, honestly. But were did you come up with Isabel? Did you find (feel?) anything else for me to think about and watch for. The idea with the historical photos, I'll give that a try if I can.
